Pelvic Floor Dysfunction - Interesting Case
What I offered that her PT, pelvic PT, and urogynecologist didn't
I actually tried to make this into a video, but it didn’t upload, so here goes. This case was a 5.5 month postpartum woman with anal fissure, rectocele, cystocele, uterine prolapse, stress urinary incontinence, and painful sex.
That sounds like a lot, and it is if you’re the one dealing with it. But I am still pretty hopeful that she’ll get better.
Her PT helped her after a back injury when she tried to start working out postpartum. Her pelvic PT hasn’t made much change and told her they wouldn’t: they’d just help symptoms but couldn’t change a prolapse. And her urogyn told her to come see him when she was done having babies so they could do pelvic reconstruction surgery.
Let’s hope I can help. Bring your questions to the chat or January’s live call (which I haven’t scheduled yet).
